Lewis Hamilton wins the British Grand Prix, ahead of teammate Rosberg and the Teen Wonder, Max Verstappen. Later on Nico Rosberg was penalized 10 seconds for radio message, dropping him to third place and promoting Verstappen to second.
The race started behind the safety car after a torrential downpour which meant all the drivers had to be on full wet tires. When the safety car came in after five laps, a number of drivers went straight onto the intermediate, while the leaders took advantage of a virtual safety car to switch to the intermediate shortly afterwards. Lewis’s win was his fourth at Silverstone tying him to Nigel Mansell as the British driver with the most British Grand Prix wins and just one behind Jim Clark and Alain Prost.
